Having left school at the age of 15, Colin joined the Junior Leaders Regiment Royal Engineers. At 17 and a half, Colin passed out into man’s service. Having served all round the world, Colin retired from the Army in 1987 aged 40 in the rank of Warrant Officer Class 1 to begin a new career in road haulage.
In 2005 Colin changed career tack and ultimately established what became Award Cars.
Wendy was married to Colin throughout his various careers and is mother to their two daughters. Wendy is also a life-long member of the Salvation Army. At one point when there was no officer to run the local Corps at Snettisham, Wendy took on the responsibility for the running of the Snettisham Corps for a period of 16 years and plays the cornet in the band.
Wendy now helps with the day to day running of Award Cars and drives one of the taxis.
